Vice President JD Vance told me yesterday that when it comes to killing foreign civilians without due process, quote: ‘I don’t give a shit what you call it.’
Let me be clear: that is not America. America was built on the rule of law, on due process, and on the belief that government power must be restrained by justice. Killing civilians without evidence or trial is what dictators do — not what America should ever stand for. Even Rand Paul agrees with me, and I’ve heard from countless Republicans who said Vance’s response was pathetic.
And here’s the truth: if JD Vance thinks cursing on Twitter makes him tough, it doesn’t. It makes him look like Trump’s angry intern with a Wi-Fi connection. America deserves better.”
Worse, every time JD Vance dismisses human rights and international law, he weakens America’s credibility abroad. Our allies see recklessness instead of leadership, and our adversaries see an opening to exploit. A Vice President who treats war crimes like a joke doesn’t just embarrass himself, he puts America’s reputation, security, and moral authority at risk.
