According to leaked audio, at a closed-door fundraiser, Trump regaled donors with the tale of a face-to-face showdown he claims he had with Vladimir Putin:
“With Putin, I said ‘If you go into Ukraine, I’m gonna bomb the sh-t out of Moscow.’ … He said, ‘No way.’ And I said, ‘Way.’”
Trump bragged that the Russian president “believed me ten percent,” adding, “Ten percent is all you need.”
Matching Threat for Beijing
Trump told the room he delivered the same blunt warning to China’s Xi Jinping:
“If you go into Taiwan, I’m gonna bomb the s–-t out of Beijing.”
Again, he pegged Xi’s belief at “ten percent,” insisting that sliver of doubt was enough to keep China in check.

Trump also described pressuring a deep-pocketed supporter:
“He wants to have lunch with me over a million dollars … I’m not having lunch. You got to make it 25 million.”
