Trump Media could be in deep trouble as the Feds open an investigation into Russian-linked money laundering.
According to The Guardian, there is an ongoing investigation into Trump Media for potential money laundering involving $8 million in loans linked to Russia. Trump Media is the parent company of Truth Social, the social media platform associated with former U.S. President Donald Trump that has been struggling to gain traction.
The former President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., personally greenlit one of the loans that are currently being investigated with ties to Putin Associates in Russia. Back in 2014, Eric Trump boasted that the Trumps had ample funding from Russia.
Republican Chip Roy just endorsed Ron DeSantis for President.
Representative Chip Roy has endorsed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for President, stating that he is the leader that America needs to defend the country against the destructive force of excessive government, corporate spending, and cultural indoctrination. This endorsement is significant because Roy is one of the most vocal hardline Republicans in the House, and it breaks with former President Trump, who several other Republicans have endorsed. Roy's endorsement also makes him the first Congressional endorsement for DeSantis's presidential bid.
News breaks out of the Georgia Special Grand Jury
Special grand jurors in the 2020 Georgia election interference case have revealed that they heard a recording of a phone call where former President Donald Trump asked the late Georgia House Speaker David Ralston to convene a special session of the legislature to overturn Joe Biden's victory in Georgia. However, Ralston refused and stated that he would do what he believed was appropriate. Ralston and other legislative leaders did not call a special session, and a former aide of Ralston declined to comment on the matter. The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
Legal experts expect Trump to be indicted in NY any day now.
