Let's see what happens next. My guess is he appeals it.

Who would he appeal to? Which court hears the appeals from the US Trade Court?

If there isn't a district court that's above it - which, granted, wouldn't surprise me, because international trade is a very specific area of law - I guess by default the only place Trump could appeal it to is his only-slightly-disobedient pet judges on the Supreme Court. (Not that they're all his pets, nor, obviously, can he appeal a ruling only to those members of the S.C. most likely to give him what he wants; nonetheless, he has sufficient obedience from a sufficient number of them that to an extent he can count on them to destroy the power of the legislative branch in his favour and at his demand.)

Thanks for your response. Let him appeal to his lackeys on the SC. Do they have jurisdiction? In our next life, we need to ban shadow docket rulings.

Very much agree about the necessity of banning shadow docket rulings. If a judge can't put their name to an opinion, there's a good reason they shouldn't be writing it!

Apparently the Supreme Court does have jurisdiction for the inevitable appeal, although maybe, just maybe, the second ruling that was just made against the tariffs will somehow prevent the Court from caving.

And how will this stop Trump? If Congress, SCOTUS and everyone in the Trump regime tells them to fuck off, what means do we have to stop it and/or how will the judges actually hold Trump accountable?

So happy to hear that the justice branch of the government remembers its obligation. Let’s hope The Supremes will uphold it

VACATED !! My second-favorite word today after TACO. This feels like piling on. AND I AM ALL FOR IT. This creature and his handlers have been piling on us for a decade and it is more than enough. The next decision from a Federal Court I want to see is to order the IMMEDIATE RETURN of all kidapped deported people and NO DELAYS TOLERATED.

The not so appealing orange ogre probably will appeal, as he always does. Let's hope the courts stand firm on this. That would be good news indeed! This is one of those - Thanks! I needed that moments!

I wish I could believe that that will make a difference but when the brain-dead orange ape (my apologies to actual apes) ignores the supremes, I find it hard to believe that anything short of the overturn of his immunity and prison will stop him from doing whatever the fuck he wants to - even if it means the end of this country as we know it. I’m old enough to remember when the rest of the world respected us as a leader. Now we’re a punchline 😖

FINALLY the good guys get a win. Will I get back the money that I lost after Trump’s stupid tariffs? Never in my lifetime.

It's good news, but only if they actually hold him accountable. Which I have yet to see.

I’m beginning to think that the Congress has been waiting for the courts to stand up bc they’re afraid to. That way they can still look like loyal boot lickers and dodge accountability on both ends.
