I'm sick. What will happen to our friends and families who really need health care assistance? I hope everybody realizes that nursing home care is usually paid by Medicaid--after all your assets are gone.

I’ll become homeless

Watching & listening to them all cheer reminds me of the old song, The “Fish” Cheer…Song by Country Joe and the Fish ‧ 1967 … specifically this verse

… and it's 1, 2, 3, what're we fighting for? don't ask me, I don't give a damn next stop is vietnam and it's 5, 6, 7, open up the pearly gates well there ain't no time to wonder why whoopee! we're all gonna die

Insulin was invented in Canada. The inventor made it public domain because it was a lifesaving development and the world needed it. So why is it so expensive in the ESA (Excited States of America)? Greed. Pure and simple… like so many other things in the “Land of the Free”.

Well, I have news for you: the USA has NEVER GOTTEN RID OF SLAVERY. They’ve simply renamed it “the working poor”. It’s more inclusive that way!

And if you’re poor and sick? They encourage you to die. After all, from the perspective of the rich, you’re just a waste of resources.

You’re absolutely right! It’s an “eat what you kill” world. If you’re not a young, fit, rich killer you’re toast! I truly HATE what this country has become. I want to apologize to the world for the disgrace of my fellow Americans, particularly those who think of themselves as “Patriots “. What a sad joke! Hitler would have been proud!

Sad, but true

The Republicans no longer care about deficits or the debt for that matter. They won't admit it, but they are planning to devalue and debase the US dollar and replace it with cryptocurrency, igniting hyperflation.

And making the orange shit stain filthy Rich for the first time in his life as all govt. Assets are going to pass through his Bitcoin company.

Right on, Ole Anderson!!!

This has been my fear for a while, this cryptocurrency racket.

The deficit benefits the wealthy who finance it.

Larry Lathrop's avatar

Yes, but at some point the amount they are receiving will be overwhelmed by the losses in purchasing power due to inflation. The government, on the other hand, may pay down, or even off, the debt in more and more worthless US dollars.

CK's avatar

The enormously wealthy have ample purchasing power through various assets around the world -- real estate, mineral rights, gold, silver, aircraft, yachts, etc., etc. Some of them own huge ranches and farms. Smart ones may also have various international currencies.

Heart BREAKING - the idea that we cannot be here for one another and support the most vulnerable is not going to be sustainable - we will be here for one another to support one another. Sad day indeed!

From Canada watching from the sidelines my heart breaks for the American People this is awful. 💔🇨🇦❤️

Thank you. At least 34% of Americans are heartbroken. We love you, Canada.

The bill should be called trumps revenge on working Americans

The Big Bad Revenge Bill.

Capitalize on this. Use this loss as a future win for the working people by making the pendulum swing left.

That’s all we can do, and what we WILL do. It’ll be hell until 11/26, but things well change radically after that. I guess the national work stoppage should have come BEFORE the vote.

Unethical and inhumane. Not the country I know

But it is the country we have had since Reagan. This has been the course every time the republicans take power. The republicans, Heritage Foundation, Project 2025, Federalist Society, conservative supreme court, stripping social support networks, gutting regulations are all the republican agenda ever since the New Deal. It is not going to change. This great experiment, at 250 years, is in the declining phase. May other democracies study our failings and hopefully avoid the pitfalls.

These GOP senators are sick AF!

What about that provision that neuters the SCOTUS against the POTUS?

Penny Laneheart's avatar

Is that still in? I didn’t see it in the last summary of the Big Billionaire Bailout.

- -'s avatar

That part managed to get scrapped?

Penny Laneheart's avatar

Wow, just wrote you a long reply and it all suddenly went away, except the first letter. The short answer is, I’m not sure, but it appeared to have been removed from the summary I saw a couple of days ago. 👍

Thank you, let’s hope it actually was. I’d been having trouble finding the update on that for certain, myself

We all knew it would eventually pass. Now, as Hakeem Jeffries stated on the House floor, we will implement Project 2026 to roll back this heinous Republican bill.
