Marjorie Taylor Greene Claims "Feds" Will Turn Trump Protest "Into Violence"
This comes after she called for "scorched earth" just yesterday
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green has recently published a string of tweets that are decidedly exacerbating the potential turmoil subsequent to yesterday's declaration that Trump is probable to be indicted on Tuesday in Manhattan.
Moments ago she tweeted the following:
“How many Feds/Fed assets are in place to turn protest against the political arrest of Pres Trump into violence? No other person has undermined our democracy more than George Soros. Why is [he] still allowed to maintain his citizenship?
The irony embedded within this particular tweet is rather remarkable, especially in light of the fact that in a separate message posted on social media yesterday, she appeared to advocate for violence while expressing her disapproval of Trump's impending indictment.
The conduct of Representative Greene, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, is highly disconcerting. Not only does she appear to be advocating for violence while insinuating that the federal government will fuel such unrest, but she is also asserting that a Jewish American survivor of the Holocaust, who has no criminal record, should forfeit his citizenship for donating to a political campaign.
Republicans have frequently attempted to attribute the violence that occurred at the United States Capitol on January 6th, 2021, to either Antifa or FBI informants. However, there exists no substantiated evidence to support either assertion, and all the available facts suggest that nearly exclusively Trump supporters caused mayhem on that fateful day. Representative Greene's remarks seem to aim at deflecting any culpability for violence yet again onto these nonexistent figures.
