We're Getting Dozens of Death Threats Following Kirk's Death
Why I’m Scared
My inbox and social media have been flooded with threats. Here are just a few of the dozens of messages I’ve received in the last 18 hours:
When you see these words directed at you, it’s impossible not to feel fear. And I’ll be honest, I am genuinely scared. Not only for myself, but for every left-wing political influencer, activist, or journalist who dares to speak out in America right now.
Why the Fear Is Real
Charlie Kirk’s assassination was shocking and tragic. Regardless of politics, no one should lose their life for their beliefs. But what’s followed in the immediate aftermath has been equally disturbing.
Instead of calls for calm, we’ve seen a wave of right-wing voices blaming “the left” as a whole for Kirk’s murder. Some influencers have gone as far as declaring that “war is here,” while others speak openly about civil conflict. This isn’t rhetoric aimed at unity, it’s rhetoric that paints a target on the backs of people like me.
When Trump and others amplify these kinds of messages, it creates a permission structure for hate. It’s not just talk. It turns into threats. And when threats multiply unchecked, we’ve already seen too many times how they can become real acts of violence.
The Threat Landscape for Left-Wing Voices
Threats against left-leaning activists and influencers aren’t new, but they’re escalating.
Harassment campaigns: Coordinated online mobs target us with slurs, threats, and attempts to dox.
Direct threats: Messages promising violence, like the ones I’ve just shown you, come daily.
Blame culture: Every violent act gets twisted into a way to accuse “the left” collectively, regardless of evidence.
This cycle is unsustainable. It doesn’t just put me in danger. It puts anyone who raises their voice in danger.
What Needs to Change
We have to stop normalizing rhetoric that turns fellow Americans into enemies. We have to demand accountability when political leaders, especially Trump, use language that fans the flames instead of calming them.
We need:
Law enforcement that takes online threats seriously.
Political leaders who resist the urge to score points off a tragedy.
A media that doesn’t amplify unverified blame before facts are known.
Because if we don’t, the threats I’m receiving today could become tomorrow’s headlines for someone else.
A Final Word
I don’t want to live in fear. I don’t want to check my messages wondering if the next one will tell me I deserve to die. And I don’t want my fellow left-wing or right wing influencers to live that way either.
But today, after Charlie Kirk’s assassination and the tidal wave of threats that followed, I do feel scared. Deeply scared.
That should worry every American, because a democracy where voices are silenced by threats and violence isn’t a democracy at all.

I’m not surprised. I also won’t be surprised if they don’t catch this shooter. The rhetoric Charlie Kirk was pushing on the Epstein files was probably angering some very….influential people.
Secondly. This is exactly what Trump has been angling for.
